Nadim, have you seen this easily missable post [1] ? I know I missed it the first time, but just a few days ago, I stumbled upon it while deleting some older archived messages. Also, the 2nd edition of another well known Meeus book [2] includes a chapter on "Jewish and Moslem calendars". I hope this info should help you or anyone else interested in deciphering that code.
