assalaamu `alaykum I'm pleased to tell you that the patch for RTL, shaping and rendering support has been accepted into the OpenEmbedded repository.
Future work: a few minor changes to support hebrew, and the small matter of the translation work :-) Any volunteers for the translation work gratefully welcomed (it's not that much actually). Possible future work: Make it all look much better so that it can be used to display quran etc. wassalaam abdulhaq
