Salamo Alaikom, Mohamed Elkammar

Which part of the quran project are you working on, i.e. the libquran,
QTquran, Gnomequran, or jquran or csquran or. ....... ( :D wow there is a
lot to do, true say).
From what I can see, the libquran provides all we need from text to audio
playback, well not sure, but thats what i think,
so please let me know, so i start digging in....
Also which skills do you have? to see which help i can get from you :)

Thanks

Note, at the moment, I cannot do nothing, as I didnt receive my username or
password, i.e. i cannot edit or upload anything yet, but should do soon.

Wasalam 3alaykum

Salam / Hi :)

I'm new as you guessed,
Just to introduce my self, I'm a software engineer, moving into second
year
( don't under estimated me :D plz ) who's willing to help on opensource
projects.
Looking around, I found out about arab eyes, which i will gladly be happy
to
contribute to.

Looking at the list of projects, there is loads and loads, well, at least
when compared to the amount of people whom contributed. That makes me feel
gutted by not helping out in any way I can.

So far, the OCR project seems fun, well, at least for me. One thing I need
to note. where I welcome any suggestions on which project I shall
contribute
to, my skills:

Microchip ASM // guess you dont need this, but you never know!
x86 ASM (normal) // I assume you don't need that!
C (Professional) // to some extend, my C skill are strong, but only C
i.e. the STD lib, some Borland
C++(getting there) // knowing C helps, but now I'm covering the STL, STD,
and Borland VCL
QT (none) // thinking about starting it
GTK(none) // like above
VCL(beginner) // doing it for sake of Uni, i dont really like programming
for windows.

Besides programming languages:

Fluent in Arabic/English
A practicing Muslim, so no problem working with the Quran project :)
Free for 3 months, I can do a lot before starting Uni :)
But sorry, I cant help with donations££, as i'm student relying on
government funding.

If you're wondering where i'm from, then:
I'm from UK, well, living here, originally from Algeria, lived in Asia
half
my life :)
so I again, i have experience with Asians, Africans and Western :D:D
(jokes!)

And thats it for today, I need to get going with C++ at the moment.

Regards/ ma3a assalamah

Abdulhaq

Welcome aboard Abdulhaq,
Your skills are appreciated. I hope you can contribute to Arabeyes
as there is alot to do. I'm working on the Quran project which was offline
for a while. As you are, I'm still new to the Arabeyes world but I got my
self familiarized with the source code a little bit. I tried to
communicate
with others that might have more experience with the Quran Project but no
luck. So if you are interested your more than welcome to take a dive and
tell me what you think.

Salamo Alaikom,
Mohamed Elkammar
