**************** CONCLUSION **************** Islam (the religion of peace) has a special act of worshiping Allah called Salam, which is practiced by Muslims by grating each other with "Al-Salam Alykom" meaning "Peace be upon you" There are some simple-minded hydrostatics from both Muslims and non-Muslims want to give that we all are the same we all are equal we are all happy ... BLAH BLAH by making non-Muslims practice some Islamic acts of worshiping Allah like Salam But the real Islamic way to treat non-Muslims is with any nice kind gratings (other than Al-Salam Alykom because it's an act of worshiping Allah) like Al-Salam Ala-man-itaba'a al-Huda meaning "Peace be upon followers of righteousness " or Salam (Peace) or any other kind gratings like "best gratings" or "good morning" ..etc. forcing non-Muslims into Islamic acts of worshiping should be considered offensive not the other way, And also there are some rigid people who misunderstand it so I would like to point that if there is a group (like this one) having some Muslims and non-Muslims then we can say Al-Salam Alykom even if Muslims are smaller in number I come to know that because I was a teacher in a so far place where there are many non-Muslims and a few Muslims, so when I asked several reliable scholars they say I may say Al-Salam Alykom to my class so if you are not yet convinced please email me and I'll show you references and proofs ################################# CLOSING THE OFF-TOPIC ISSUE ################################# all replies related to the off-topic issue should be posted to the three of us me, ahmedre and Afief not the the mailing list _______________________________________________ Developer mailing list [email protected] http://lists.arabeyes.org/mailman/listinfo/developer
