I received some initial feedback on this attempt to implement NFSv4 ACL support in the Linux port; but after making some changes reflecting that I haven't heard anything else back for a month or so. Is there anybody interested or willing to take another look at this and help me move it forward?

Besides basic code review, there are also the following open questions:

NFSv4 ACL support is conditional based on the kernel configuration, currently only the parameter CONFIG_KEYS is checked (as the idmapper subsystem is required to translate between names/ids). Are there any other kernel options that should perhaps also be prerequisites?

In the directory tests/zfs-tests/tests/functional/acl/Makefile.am I added back the subdirectories nontrivial and trival; however, when I run autogen there is no Makefile.in generated in the subdirectories and I'm not sure why.

While I can successfully create, view, and modify NFSv4 ACLs with my current code, they don't appear to actually take effect when accessing the file system via a linux mountpoint. I'm assuming there must be some Linux VFS glue that needs to be hooked up? I'd appreciate a pointer towards that.

Thanks much…
