Jails, zones, and the various Linux namespaces are all extremely platform-specific abstractions. They can sometimes be made to fill a similar _need_ from the operator, but many of the actual mechanics are quite different. Making a non-overlapping, per-platform interface using the native terms from that platform seems quite reasonable to me. Cheers. -- Joshua M.
