I hope that VoiceOver will soon have braille support. I am developing an xml to braille translator on Linux. It will handle MathMl as well as text. In the not-too-distant future it will also handle sVG graphics. To ensure its widest usability, I would like to have standard installers for the Mac and Windows. Furthermore, I would like to be able to concentrate on the translator itself, so I would really appreciate it if someone could do the porting and the installer for the Mac. The code is in straight C. Please write to me off-list if you are interested.
