The first annual OpenZFS Developer Summit will be held in San Francisco, November 18-19. All OpenZFS developers are invited to participate.
http://www.open-zfs.org/wiki/OpenZFS_Developer_Summit The goal of the event is to foster cross-community discussions of OpenZFS work, and to make progress on some of the projects we have proposed. The first day of the Developer Summit will be in the "unconference<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference>" style, with discussion topics being set at the beginning of the day. Participants should indicate areas they'd like to discuss when they register. The second day of the event will be a hackathon, where you will have the opportunity to work with OpenZFS developers that you might not normally sit next to, with the goal of having something, no matter how insignificant, to demo at the end of the day. You can register for the event by editing the conference webpage, or by emailing [email protected] with your information (Name, Affiliation, what you want to talk about, etc -- see the table on the webpage). Important: you must register by *October 27th*. --matt
