Robert Mustacchi sent a response about just this, they have the
subsystem components:-

I'll work on getting that up into illumos shortly which should get you
what you need at least for solid state support. I don't have anything at
the moment for exposing the rpm, but I can certainly try to help with that."

I assume that this is just a preliminary review, and before pushing you'll
be adding code to detect if the device is a SSD and set vdev_rotation_rate
to VDEV_RATE_NON_ROTATING?
