The per zone io throttle work [1] from a few years ago has not made it
upstream yet. It looks like the last time it came up one of the
concerns [2] was how it would interact with non-illumos platforms.
I'm not a developer, but as a ZFS on Linux user having a cgroup for zfs
io priority would be a compelling feature. (If vfsstat came along for
the ride that would be cool too.) I'd like to suggest this would be a
worthy topic for conversation at the Developer Summit if there are cross
platform intricacies for this feature to iron out.
