Hard to know who to follow :) Our sa.c was a copy of IllumOS's, with only minor changes to remove compiler warnings, and fix a UIO API call. We switched over to ZOL's sa.c about 2 weeks back now, and have not yet seen this problem since then. It would seem ZOL have fixed something for us. So far, as far as I know, only ZOL and O3X uses SA in "dynamic fashion". ie, ZOL with xattr=sa, and O3X adding "ADDEDTIME", adding attributes as needed to already existing entries. We will monitor the situation and move onto something else.
