Yeah, the guy has gotten close to a interesting solution.
Let me show you on Monday (sketches and notes are at work).

In the solution I hope to get time to writeup Monday (for me, Mondays are crazy
at Fluendo...meetings etc).

Each channel had a 'column' like the Main Menu... within each column was a list
that had an entry for every show coming up for that channel and the time it
started.

To go to the next channel and browse its upcoming schedule, you just pressed
right, then moved up and down within the list.

This solution is devoid of having a 'bar' and its length represent time
(something that, would be a new widget to build and filled with a few
complications inside teh contruct of the UI). instead you can compare the start
time one show, against the start time of the next one in the list, and you can
see how long the show is on for.

Yeah, but, the ability to do width to represent time is a BIG problem in
Moovida and producing a traditional EPG.
Maybe I can do a quick comp one evening to show you all what I mean. Aside from
creating a widget to create it, no masking at the moment in pigment... there is
a bit of a visual problem to overcome.

For me, I prefer 'wasted' space :) - if everything is usable, communicate well
and it can do it without having to take up space, then great! Think of it as a
line of code, why wrote 100 lines if it can be done in 2?
