Hi,
where is a brief description about Moovida's UI restrictions and rules?
My main concern is the number of input buttons. When discussing the UI
for an epg and pvr interface, the number of available buttons is
important. vdr requires at least these buttons on a remote control:
- up/down/left/right
- ok
- menu
- return
- red/green/yellow/blue
And with these buttons, the UI is very easy to use and consistent. For
Moovida, the page at <http://www.moovida.com/wiki/KeyboardShortcuts>
seems to imply that there are only
- OK
- Return
- Cursor (up/down/left/right)
buttons. Is that correct?
So, what are the buttons / input keys available for Moovida? Where is
this documented?
One of the main rules in the design of Moovida's UI is that *everything*
should work with a 6-buttons remote (4 direction buttons, back button
and ok button).
It is ok if certain features can be accessed more quickly using a
keyboard or remotes with more than 6 buttons, but everything must be
accessible in some way with 6 buttons only.
Some more UI guidelines can also be found in the developer guide here:
http://www.moovida.com/documentation/developers_guide/developers_guide.html#guidelines
Hope it helps,
