I see the data protection act and the freedom of information act as
two of the greatest steps towards 'public empowerment' in recent
times. ('They' had taken their eye right of the ball when they gave us
these!).
So while the message around this isn't quite so simple as the FoI 'one
law for them one for the rest of us' - this attack on data protection
would have a bigger impact than the expenses/FoI thing ever could...
BTW: As well as an email, I got letter from my MP including a copy of
the debate from hansard -- I would love to know how many letters he
received to prompt such a response!
