Just about any smartphone should be able to do it though I don't know
of any that come with the software pre-installed.

I think there are around 1 million iPhones in the UK, not to mention
other brands.

The first and principal benefit of the system is that people can just
read the posters, no phones/barcode reading required. Each item from
the RSS feed gets its own bit.ly URL so people can just jot them down
or photograph the posters to follow up later when they get near a PC.
