I think EM could have waited for some actual legal action.  This is
just a chickensh*t letter of no consequence that cost nothing to send.
 Maybe the "service" can be moved to a server in Sweden.

That would at least be a Plan B.  As I understand it there is no Plan
B other than make a bit of a fuss and hope it gets raised in
Parliament when the recess ends.  Somehow, I think MPs have got a lot
other things to worry about, and this won't go anywhere.

Maybe if Tom says he'll resign from the Tory party unless they include
free Postcode Address File in their manifesto, it'll happen.


BTW, I've done the homework and tracked down the 2006 consultation and
references, which none of us spoke at -- unless you were one of the 5
anonymous submitters:

There's a huge weight of big business interests involved in this (eg
call centres), so there's no quick fix.  Unless they make a license
for non-profit use, or something.
