My personal take would be that it would be a Good Thing but that it's not a viable MySociety project. It's something that would require a significant amount of actual journalistic research and a continual workload, rather than MySociety's typical websites that run themselves*. There's no easily scrapable details of MPs promises or statements with a logical value (well, there's TWFY, but working out what is a promise is another matter...) and finding if they're broken/kept or true/false is both difficult and sometimes a matter of personal opinion. Two suggestions come to mind: either crowdsourcing, which seems frought with difficulties - c.f. Wikipedian politics, or a journalistic organ providing the information for the website. Dave. * I realise this almost certainly isn't actually true, but it certainly seems to be a design ethic. _______________________________________________ Mailing list [email protected] Archive, settings, or unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public
