Here's why: Democracy Club and They Work For You are soon going to
launch our candidate quiz. It's in two parts: questions about
national issues, and questions about local issues. For the local
issues, we're trying to turn a crowdsourced brain dump of local issues
into sensible questions to which you can answer yes or no. We have
a nice interface for doing this, with a league table and everything.
However, we're only a bit more than half way through the issues, which
is a major blocker for getting the quizzes and making them locally
interesting.
It takes about 1 minute per issue to moderate, which is equivalent to
about 34 people pledging to spend 30 minutes each.
