I have heard of tweetminister but have never used it.
http://tweetminster.co.uk/ also it might be helpful to look at the news
providers like the papers and television news services.

Subject: [mySociety:public] collecting Twitter data regarding general election

Hi,

do you know of anyone who is (planning to) collect Twitter data in
relation to the upcoming election, for example tweets by MPs or all
tweets mentioning #ukelection? Any links appreciated.

Otherwise, if you are interested in the (admittedly fairly general)
topic of Twitter and the general election, let me know. At my institute
we are thinking about collecting some data for research purposes but
open for ideas as well as looking for technical support (yes, paid).

Best, tobias
