Hi all, Just to add - the idea that WhatDoTheyKnow doesn't host FOI materials through channels other than WhatDoTheyKnow isn't really an ideological decision. It's just a side-effect of how the site was built.
I hope very much that in the next year we can build a feature that would let more enthusiastic public bodies to upload data that was requested via other channels. But we'd just have to have the time and money to do it, that's all. best, Tom On 8 May 2011 21:19, Paul Waring <[email protected]> wrote: > On 08/05/11 20:38, Abdul Hai wrote: >> >> Hi I was wondering would it be possible to link to the website where >> public authorities publish their responses to FOI requests? > > I think that question has been covered previously in this thread: > > http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.politics.democracy.mysociety.general/2199 > > Specifically, Francis said: > > 'It isn't a goal of WhatDoTheyKnow to become a comprehensive archive of > all FOI requests and responses.' > > http://article.gmane.org/gmane.politics.democracy.mysociety.general/2207 > > There is a homepage link on each authority's page though, from which you > could probably find their FoI data, assuming that they publish it online. > > -- > Paul Waring > http://www.pwaring.com > > _______________________________________________ > developers-public mailing list > [email protected] > https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public > > Unsubscribe: > https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/options/developers-public/tom%40tomsteinberg.co.uk > _______________________________________________ developers-public mailing list [email protected] https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/listinfo/developers-public Unsubscribe: https://secure.mysociety.org/admin/lists/mailman/options/developers-public/archive%40mail-archive.com
