Hi,

I wouldn't port/use it. It is basically just an area->person mapper,so I would simply write a trivial Django app that has django-reversion and a model for a representative (you can see DaDem's schema at services/mapit-dadem-loading/dadem-schema.sql in CVS but note that most of it is presumably totally unneeded by you). Most of the code is to deal with the way we get our councillors imported and things like that, and I really don't think you want any of it.

Having said that, its main code is in services/DaDem/ - server FastCGI script calls functions in DaDem.pm, that's about it.

ATB,
Matthew

Having trouble finding out what powers DaDem at
http://services.mysociety.org/dadem since it appears (and I may be
mistaken on this) to be quite important to a number of things I want to
port over.

Can I get a clue on where to find it and how it's running there?
(init.d service? Fastcgi process? ) The old CVS repo is... tricky to
fathom, to put it mildly.
