I don't quite see the point of that? If I submit a new request, they refuse, I complain to the ICO and the ICO will uphold my complaint again, whereupon the AHRC will appeal to the tribunal again. Much easier to ask to be joined to the current tribunal case. or did I misunderstand you completely? My instincts tell me to do so, not least because it would allow me to see what the Information Commissioner argues, and as an Additional Party I could then make further submissions if I believe that the IC's response omits something (one never knows) or if I feel I have pertinent points to make in response to the AHRC's submissions. Also, given that the Tribunal rarely awards costs, there would not be much risk for me in doing so.
