I'll have to go back and reread the email I sent them, but I am pretty sure I was conscience of the fact that I did not speak "for the group" but rather "from the group". You are right for being concerned about how I paraphrased / worded my discourse with them, but I am almost certain (i can check this when i get home) that i said "we could" as opposed to "we would" build them an app that suited their needs.
The dev resources to build this into Drupal are very minimal, if no one else takes up the ticket i would be happy to start working on it this weekend.
