Good. How about a similar arrangment for the api-docs?

I would like besides www.mmbase.org/api also www.mmbase.org/api18

The API's are already there on mmbase.org but located at:

http://www.mmbase.org/development/api/1.4
http://www.mmbase.org/development/api/1.5 etc.

There is a page with an overview at: http://www.mmbase.org/?portal=202&page=548
I know this is quite hidden because of the clumsy way the documentation is organized at mmbase.org, i'm open to any suggestions about how to integrate the documentation in the mmbase.org look and feel.

And the url http://www.mmbase.org/api points to http://www.mmbase.org/development/api/1.7 which is a 1.7.1.20041002 build. The 1.8 if of date 20050101 by the way.

(actually, since we usually add the @since tags, api18 could be leading, an
argument which also goes for the rest of the documentation).

I left this thread unanswered until now, hoping other people would react, because i am not sure. I believe the documentation should reflect the current release. But what do other people think?
