I'd prefer all this stuff, at least the most basic implementations, simply
in mmbase.jar.
Well, technically, the most basic implementation is Dummy (i.e., no clustering), which btw. works for 9 sites out of 10 ;)
Dummy is in mmbase.jar so no worries there.
