no, that should be it. Did you check if your mysql server allows remote tcp/ip connections? i think that might be off by default.

We want to setup a separate MYSQL databaseserver. Thus having one server running Tomcat/MMBase and one server running MySQL.

 

When starting Tomcat all webapps keep pending when connecting to MySQL. The logfiles  stop at ‘JDBC Probe’

 

Are there any additional setup steps to make other than editing the jdbc.xml file, specifying the other host?
