Hi,

With the upcoming release of MMBase 1.8, the MMBase documentation needs
some serious updating and extensions. The idea is to do this in a two
day session which is open for everybody, who is willing to write
documentation for MMBase.

Especially non-core MMBase developers are encouraged to participate in
the weekend !!! Next to writing pieces of documentation and creating
examples yourselves, your opinion about the documentation written by
core developers is important as a first proof-of-the-pudding. Of course
these two days will be an outstanding opportunity to learn more about
MMBase.

The program is as follows:

Friday 9 december 2005
10:00 welcome
10:15 overview of status of documentation and gaps
10:30 dividing tasks (documents)
11:00-20:00 writing
20:30 diner
22:00 beer (pubs are in walking distance of location)

Saturday 10 december 2005
9:00 breakfast
10:00-20:00 writing
20:30 diner, including evaluation
22:00 more beer

The location will be the MMatch office:

Hommelstraat 9A
NL-3061 VA Rotterdam

Note: there is no internet connection at this location. You have to
bring a notebook with all necessary software yourself.

Everybody is welcome to sleep there on the nights from 9-10 and 10-11
december, if you bring matras and sleeping bag.

The MMBase Foundation has offered to sponsor part of the costs of this
weekend, so you don't have to worry about costs of meals and drinks.

Please let me know if you plan to join this unforgetable weekend, by
replying to this email.

Kind regards, Henk.
