Voting as contractual obligation? I fail to see how this "commitment" is going to reduce risc. If even the original committer might leave to pursue other interests how are others going to keep up?
Better vote based on adding "The Right Thing" architecture-wise and trust that the developer community at any time now or in the future will "Do The Right Thing" with it when the need or opportunity arises. -cjr -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Pierre van Rooden Verzonden: Wednesday, November 16, 2005 2:36 PM Aan: Discussion list for developers Onderwerp: Re: [Developers] Applications and responsibility It seems nobody has an opinion on this? Are we really going to make code into an 'community-maintained applications' and then just hope that people are willing to maintain it? Or do we plan to ask some kind of commitment of those who vote in favor of it? -- Pierre van Rooden Mediapark, C 107 tel. +31 (0)35 6772815 "One in a million chances pop up nine times out of ten." _______________________________________________ Developers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.mmbase.org/mailman/listinfo/developers _______________________________________________ Developers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.mmbase.org/mailman/listinfo/developers
