For some time, there has been a Lucene module for MMBase 1.8, utilizing the MMBase fucntion framework and the (new) clustermanager. The code for this module is currently in the MMBase CVS in the 'speeltuin' module, under gomez/lucene It contains a flexible query-franmework-compatible idnexing system, iterative indexing, configuration of Analyzers and Textparsers (similar to the mmapps lucene module), and uses the function-framework for searching. I would like to add this code to the contributions branche in the MMBase CVS. Rather than bluntly adding it I would like to propose it with a vote (according to the rules).
