I'm in favour of dropping htmlarea for a version which we don't maintain ourselves. Honestly, I did not succeed to get xinha working in editwizards, but I trust that it will simply work fine after you're ready. I suppose you want this for 1.8.1? Or 1.8.2? Or 1.9? 1.8.1 must be release very soon, I think.
