I want to create a 'calendar' contribution in the 'contributions' module
of the MMBase CVS repository.
Because:
- I need it for a client
- I want to test MMBase datetime-fields (especially related to
timezones).
- I want to experiment a bit with packaging (mainly of generic JSP's/tagfiles)
I have a working version already (attached). To install you'd need the
latest 1.8.1 build, place the mmbase-calendar.jar and place the jspx's.
At the moment it shows the days of the last month, the current month,
and 2 upcoming months. To test timezones and locales I added a
'localeSelector', by which you can easily view the calendar in a
different timezone. You can then add, edit and delete nodes of the type
'calendar_items'. This works all fine at the moment.
I also started an 'hours' view, mainly to test the <mm:constraint
part=".." stuff. The idea is that you may want to see all events of a certain
hour, independently of the date. This works, but not very well for
alternative timezones. This I consider a bug in MMBase or in Taglib,
which I will also try to fix soon.
