When a connection is _established_ (from a routing connector of the other
router), the keep alive interval is used to check if the connection is ok.
Thus, it keeps your dial-up connection up. A routing connection on a
dial-up line is not recommended, except you can configure the ISDN router
that way to establish connections only within defined timeframes.
