I'm assuming you've determined that implementing MessageListener
is not appropriate for your app?
Let's say Class A contains class B. You could register class
B as the MessageListener, and have class A do your timing. Class A
could then tell B to close(stop?) it's connection when the timer goes off,
and create a new B, or just have it restarted as needed.
