I have seen a similar problem. When the swiftmq router was
shut down and QueueSender's close() method stalled.

Subject: [developers] Thread Stall During QueueSender.close()
We have a Swing client that sends messages to JMS. In
order to ensure that all JMS resources are efficiently
closed when the application closes, we register all
such resources with a JDK 1.3 shutdown hook thread
which runs when the JVM shuts down.
We have observed that when using SwiftMQ, these
shutdown threads stall when attempting to close some
resources. It starts with QueueSender.
Has anyone else encountered this issue ?
Thanks.
