'remote queue' is a JNDI definition for a queue that is not local to the
router.
When you define a 'static route' router can send messages to that router
even if that router is down. If you don't do this and the router is down
you will get a Router not available exception.

P.S.: IMHO: It is a good administration praxis to use static routes,
because you never know when you will loose a connection between two routers.
