Hmm, yes, in fact the 'new' image servlet knows hardly anything about icaches. Only to get a title from the 'parent' image to construct a content-disposition file name. The 'icaches' functionality is now in the image builder itself. In other words an image node has a function 'the number of the cached image representing this images transformed by this-and-this rules'.
