Minutes of the MMBase user meeting, July 4, 2002, 15.00-19.00u (& pizza
+ discussion on top of the VPRO villa from 19.00u - 2100u)

ISSUES COVERED DURING THE MEETING

1. Security (Eduard, the presentation will be made available from
www.mmbase.org soon)

Issue: How can the multilevel cache be extended such that security on
node level can be enforced without killing the performance of the
multilevel cache.

Issue: when to build editwizards and when to use a tailor made version
of the JSP editors?

3. Documentation project: see the email on the developers mailing list.

4. design.mmbase.org:8070: Remy Blom will try to make design for this
MMBase portal.

UPCOMING USER MEETINGS

The idea is that meetings are scheduled for one year in advance and that
four user meetings will be held each year.

Suggestions for topics are welcome.

ONGOING DISCUSIONS

1. What is the optimal balance between Java and MMBase tags in your JSP
templates (Michiel & Henk)

2. Best practices for object models: when to use what type of object
model, what are the do's and dont's (Daniel & Henk)
