Now I have finally been able to submit bugs to the bugtracker I'm not able to either change or close them. My requests for maintainer status remain unanswered. This is becoming annoying.
To put things into perspective: It has taken me over a year to get a bugtracker account (due to "bugtracker problems"), and now that I have one I still can't access the basic functionality. If it had been our intention to discourage anyone from submitting bugs, we couldn't have done it any better. Obviously the system doesn't work.
