No vote, assumed abstained (3) : Nico Klasens, David van Zeventer, Marcel Maatkamp
Result:
MMBase 1.7 will support JDK 1.4. Support for JDK 1.3 is dropped.
MMBase 1.6 will continue to be available for JDK1.3
Note: the mmbase.org server will need to be patched to run JDK 1.4.
Transition to 1.4 will happen prior to that.
Until the srver is patched, the daily build for CVS HEAD will be unavailable, and you will need to make the build yourself.

CALL FOR: Moving to JDK 1.4 in MMBase 1.7
CALLED BY: Pierre van Rooden
The JDK 1.4 has now been out for quiet some time.
It has several useful features, but is not fully compatible with 1.3,
causing problems when developers want to compile the code under the new
JDK.
Since most people seem to use 1.4 nowadays, I want to call a vote to
move MMBase from the current support for JDK 1.3 to JDK 1.4.
Note that this will mean that we will NOT support JDK 1.3 anymore in
1.7.
However, 1.6.* releases will be released with JDK 1.3 support.
