I think you're talking about the versioning of the applications vs core?
yes. once up a time I worked at wizzavi (just like RvM) they used a build system
that I really liked. it was based on ant + automatic cvs tagging and manifest files telling what versions of the modules to use.
Sounds interesting.....was it a self made thing?
