I agree with the proposed releaseplan:
    [X] +0 (ABSTAIN ), because:

I do think some things will be hard to arrange before friday. E.g. the
mmbase 1.7 distro cannot yet be build completely automaticly (no way to
auto-install e.g. editwizards). Furthermore I have my doubts about
consistency and working of examples and other jsps. (404's and so on, e.g.
because of missing editwizards). Since trying all examples is a requested
part of the test-procedure, we should be reasonably sure that at least all
tests are easily accessible, about which I currently have doubts.

I agree with most of your comments, but I think most of them can be fixed during the freeze. And if not we have to extend the freeze.

I also have dangling code about functions, about which it is hard to harvest
new reactions, so I might even change my vote to -1 or veto, because I lack
clarity about the issue.

The same goes for dangling code about editwizards. There is a new front-end
available by Nico, and I think that it should better be released with 1.7,
because otherwise more editwizards extensions will come into existance which
will be broken by it.

Pierre took some actions to get some clarity about these hacks. Let's hope we have some kind of agreement before the end of the week.

- Orion 2.0.x
- Resin
- Jetty

I suggest that we need to add Tomcat 5. We see that this is already the
first thing that people try, so we propably avoid a big pain if we simply
make sure beforehand that everything works fine in tomcat 5.

Yes, I was thinking about this one myself. I'll add it. (saw on the tomcat users list you already started testing it :) ).
