The situation I prefer is a working system without the jars, because then
you have not to convince your provider to change the Tomcat setup.

I tested the builds of today with Jdk 1.4. Removing the jars seem only a
problem for the Editwizard.

Tomcat 4.1.12 on Win3k, configuration that works with MMBase 1.6: problems
with Null exception in wizard.jsp.
Tomcat 4.1.23 on Linux, original configuration, connected with IIS: only
problems with Images in the Editwizard, the server does not return an answer
after logging in.

The problem with Tomcat 4.1.12 is problably caused because the original
Xerces jars were removed from Tomcat. My provider has Tomcat 4.1.23 with the
original jars installed.
