I think there is still some confusion about how XML's should be indented. Can we decide on this?
Yes, please.....
I'd propose indenting with 2 spaces (like we indent java with 4 spaces), but I would agree on indenting with tabs or so also.
I'm +1 for 2 spaces, in other projects this is mostly used iirc.
