According to the apidoc this protected field contains "The map with disallowed fieldnames and (if given) alternates" (= alternatives?).
Closer inspection of the code reveals that this means that the map contains both: 1 - key/value pairs representing the mappings specified in the database configuration 2 - a number of fieldnames mapped to null My question: what is the use of the fieldnames mapped to null?
