I think several people, including Henk Hangyi, Martijn Houtman, Peter Reitsma, Wouter van Vliet, and Ernst Bunders, would be eligable for committer status (some for quite some time now).
I think we'll get different types of committers, core-committers, application-commiters, documentation-commiters, etc.
