1 - I have not used transactions ever since I encountered the described
behavior, since it cost me more than a day to figure out what exactly
went wrong at the time. I do not know whether the same issue exists
for MMBase 1.7.
2 - This has been solved (I did not have access to the bugtracker at
that particular moment). I'll add this bug if you'd like, using the
description from my previous message. I'll check whether the code
references I used then are still valid.
