Hello all,
Let me try to explain the policy on this.
The Foundation is not making money on the Event(s). "Break even" would be
great!
We are in fact trying to make the yearly Event accessible for everyone. I
think an entrance fee of euro 100 (119 including vat/btw) is very
reasonable. Organising an Event also costs a lot of money. During the day
all expences are coverd (like a warm TU Delft welcome, coffee, tea, lunch,
drinks, etc.). Even some of the key note speakers are paying this fee to
support us.

Last year we decided that acknowledged committers, members of the MMC as
well as foundation partners should have free access to the Event, because
they are all already contributing so much to our community. This of course
also means we drew a line there. But please understand me correctly: if any
of you would like to attent the Event, but is not able to pay the submission
fee, please feel free to contact me. The partners of the foundation are
spending a lot of money to make me do my job and they sure don't want any of
you to be excluded from participating.
Regards,
Jo.
