Hi, I have quite some experience with importing (and exporting) large amounts of xml data by using the application file (default content). It is quite an easy way to import large amounts of inital data. The only disadvantage is that is can be a bit slow and that errors in the imported content can give cryptical error messages. I've used it with succes for several projects like the new KNMI news portal where we converted large amounts of legacy HTML data into xml data, also the images and attachments referred to in the HTML would be converted into corresponding xml files for the import.

Is the XML importer the option to use? The recommended one? Has anybody tried to import directly through SQL? Is it possible? What pros/cons does it have? Thanks a million again, Ignacio.-
