I am working in 3.0 SP1
I reset a production order and checked all the production reports. Everything looks ok except cost estimates and costings report (which is a different bug with estimated amounts). I tried 'Inventory transactions' report under inventory management, this also looks ok.
Could not locate 'Stock transactions report'. Where exactly is this?

Hi,
for example look at Report 'Stock Transactions' (InventTransList). It won't state any amounts for the Production Lines that have been reset. If this report was extended to show dimensions, too, it wouldn't for these lines.
As well, for the user, it is confusing not to see either amounts or dimensions for these lines in the inventTransactions form.
In contrast, starting from the production order, I have access to the corresponding ledger transactions but _not_ from invent transactions.
So, what I was aiming for was an evaluation of the invent transactions per dimension. Therefore I made use of inventTrans and InventTransPosting. But: Since the reset production lines don't show up, the result of this evaluation is very misleading!
Or am I mistaken?
Thanks, Annette

hi
All the transactions are posted correctly so there is no reason why the report will be in-correct.
The only (if we can call it only) problem is that references to production order are not updated correctly and hence these GL/Inventory transactions are not visible from production order form.
I guess you will have to modify Axapta to fix this bug. This has not been corrected till 3.0 SP1.

Hi,
thanks for replying!
Yes, in the ledger account, there are postings ... and they have correct values.
So do I understand correctly that this is a (known) bug? Has it been corrected in a SP or in version 3.0?
With this bug, how can any report basing on inventory transactions be correct? Or are we the only ones that ever need to reset a production status?
Does anybody have any suggestions for changes that improve this behaviour?
Thanks for any hints, Annette

hi
Did you go to the ledger account and check if the entries are created?
In case of such returns, the references are not updated properly so the enquiry-gl postings does not work.

Hi everybody,
when resetting the status of a production order from Started to Released (thus reversing the picking lists), no entries are created in InventTransPosting. The effect of this behaviour is that to the InventTrans entry describing this transaction, no costs and no dimensions are 'attached'.
The same thing happens if I manually created a picking list that returns items from the production order into inventory.
I would be very glad if anybody could point out a way to correct this behaviour (or explain, why the behaviour is correct ...).
BTW: Still working in Axapta 2.5, no SPs.
Thanks! Annette
