[development-axapta] isreal() method??

I want to check if the user entered string or real into a real field. 
Default Axapta converts all strings entered to a real typed field to 
0 (zero). I wan to give an warning explicitly. This real field in not 
bound to a table field so error message is not given automatically. 
How can I check it?
